Love takes off at Christmas-time -
An old toy made by a poor craftsman somewhere
in South America
from what was at hand;
wire bent just so to make a gear,
colored yarn,
maybe a scrap from a print dress for the wings;
when the devise is pushed along the floor
the wings flap,
the faster, the more frantic
until maybe a light person
could fly holding onto this rude toy;
is that what the maker intended?
