Celebrating Epiphany 1-6-10

Author Norb Blei, Ellison Bay, Door Co.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, Norbert Blei's book comes in the mail, his WINTER BOOK. We have no trouble with the winter part, for our thermostat is turned way down by the raccooness. We finish reading aloud the chapter on Lester's Pioneer Store in Ellison Bay (WI), now destroyed by fire. Remembering so much of what Blei writes about the Pioneer Store and the surround of earlier day Door County, we feel our throat tightening and the spoken words come hard. The writing is touching.

Norb Blei has hailed from Ellison Bay since 1969, and writes poignantly about his beloved peninsula digs. We have spoken of him before. We rcommend him to you. Sample: http://nbcoop.outlawpoetry.com/2009/11/30/william-h-olson/

On Epiphany we light the '3 kings' candles amidst the table busyness. A simple matter to crop some of it out.
