Obama’s rendition was
dubbed “terrific” by the musical great, who thought the head of state totally
“nailed it”, reports TMZ.com.
Green, of course, is
referring to Obama singing part of the first verse of the song on Sunday night
at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem .
The clip was swiftly
posted on Youtube by amused viewers, garnering millions of hits.
“I was thrilled that the
President even mentioned my name, and if the President can get the economy
going again and get everything going that he wants to, then we'll all be
together,” Green told TMZ.
