At morning's early light: maintenance we expected

Girl, pretty, across the street
picks up after raccoon trash-tear during the night. Last night we were seated in the dark of the post-midnight hour, as we told her, and heard a commotion outside.
On rising this morning, Dee said: "The Raccoons must have been at it in the neighbors' trash." In this sector of the city, trash pick-up day is Tuesday. Up and down the street at the curbings, our tidy one-block-long Colton Street neighbors set out their tightly and well-tended garbage and recyclables, aligned straightly as though with a transit.
As well as the neighboring properties are tended - and they ARE - none are as neat and as well-pruned, mowed, and winter-shoveled as our quiet and full of pride neighbors' across the street!
The girl says she doesn't have a computer, but her friends upstairs do. We informed her of the Sewer Raccoon News, so maybe the (unknowing?) raccoon cohabitants will check us out.
