NO EVIL SEEN, HEARD OR SPOKEN?

SOUND OFF!!!! (&%$#!!)
The local sneeze, the Freeman, has a daily column called SOUND OFF. The policy is: EVERYONE can send or call in whatever they want, unsigned, and the paper can print it.
This leads to anger and amusement for otherwise level-headed readers. There are certain patterns repeated, such as but by no means limited to city streets, Mayor Nelson, or Mayor Nelson AND the streets, plus the current Move-On ad showing the baby that John McBush cannot have. One suspects that the Conservative bent of the Freeman editorially determines which of these Sound-Offs to include and which to exclude, thereby establishing editorial positions of their own, under the guise of printing material from selected, anonymous (random?) sound-offers.
The raccoon news is most of the time "offed" by Sound Off. We cancelled our subscription because of the Freeman's editorially poor columnists Coulter, McBride, Belling and the like, but we do take the week-end paper for the John Schoenknecht Waukesha history columns.
If the paper is going to print what we consider stuff scurrilous, the writers/callers should be constrained to SIGN OR GIVE THEIR NAMES, so identities may be disclosed.
Gutless griping is to be eschewed, says the forthright (forth-left?) raccoon news.
Here's a hot one from today:
SOUND OFF
"Skimpy dress at band practice (Friday) I was riding down Tenny Avenue, next to South High School, when I saw the marching band practicing. I have always enjoyed marching bands, so I pulled over for a bit to watch them. I was soon taken aback by what I saw. Many of the color guard young ladies were dressed very skimpily, appearing to be wearing no more than a bra and bikini panties. Granted, it was a warm day, and I assume they were their swimming suits, but it would have been much nicer to see them in at least a T-shirt and shorts, especially with the guys practicing right there with them. Save that attire for the beach, ladies! Needless to say, I drove on and didn’t watch the rest of the practice."

GOODNESS GRACIOUS US!
