Bathroom re-doing

There's a winged
monster
in the shower!
And now the question comes closer to being decided. As paint-brushes are poised, do we take that monster down? It was hung for the childrens' amusement years ago when monsters were just a figment of our raccoonian imaginations.
Now the children are grown and no longer have great need of effigies, not when there are real identified monsters all around them in this world we have unintentionally bequeathed.
Perhaps the bathroom, when they are visiting at home, should now be a sanctuary. Maybe the monster should be relegated to the bone-heap of history. Maybe their old bathroom, now water-proofed, should be spook-proof, too.
A decision such as this, whether to take a monster out, can provide some pondering and much-needed procrastination time. Parents always drag their feet in the "kids are grown" department.
