Sallys I have known

I had me a cat once

Named Sally

Went with me everywhere

I went

She loved me

And snuggled under my chin

But this woman I was married to

At the time

Was jealous of her

Sally liked to bite her nose

So one day while I was

Out driving my cab

For Yellow

This woman got Sally

A job on a farm

And the woman and I

Got a divorce

……….

Another Sally

I knew in high school

Sent me a note yesterday

In which she said

- they grow up well in part because of us

in part in spite of our shortcomings

- and we get to enjoy them!
