Gourd seedlings

sprout in the south window. They reached long and far while we were in Appleton for the graduation weekend, spending their precious seed-encapsuled energy to strain for the sun, rather than enhancing their leavery. Now unfurling, they will perform that secondary function for we have placed the tray of peat pots on the backyard table right under the sun. Hopefully some more sproutings will appear. The seeds came from a gourd grown right outside that window last year.
